Time changed. We get less hour today and the early mornings still look like night. It’s rough to get our bodies adjusted to a new time schedule. Instead of seeing the beautiful sunrise in the morning I am met with darkness that’s still telling my body to go back to bed. It takes either 21 or 28 days to make waking up morning a habit so let’s get started into this Motivational Monday article:

Good morning beautiful. It's a new day, a new morning, a new beginning, and a fresh start. This far you made a great first step and that is waking up and reading this article. Instead of feeling defeated of the new day learn to conquer it. When you are feeling unmotivated in the morning read this:

Today is a new day. It’s fresh and nothing else before that matters. So get your past unaccomplished goals out of your head. You don’t need a reminder of them. Last week I didn’t accomplish working out 5 days a week like I wanted to but that is not stopping me from “GETTING UP SHOWING UP AND NEVER GIVING UP!” This week is another week, another opportunity for me to get back into not only my fitness goals but also my schoolwork goals. Many of us don’t want to face the reality of a brand new day. Unfortunately, the day has taken over many people, including myself. Last week, when I woke up in the morning I just wanted to hit the snooze button and keep sleeping. Now, I am more than proud of myself for waking up at 6:30 am. I don’t know how long that’s going to last but I know I am going to keep doing it for as long as I can. We are capable beings full of energy and potential but yet we allow ourselves to not be productive and end up feeling bad about ourselves at the end of the day. The fact is is that we can be productive. We can conquer our day. I plan to do this by have a relaxing morning routine and then ease into my fitness regime. Some ways to keep you motivated is:

1) Celebrate the little accomplishments as they lead to big goals. This morning I woke up and I kept thinking about all the crazy things I had to do. Instead of hitting the snooze button I decided to get up. But it wasn’t because of all the things I had to do (even though that was part of me waking up) I decided to instead focus on a relaxing morning routine I can implement for myself. Meaning that instead of going right to work I am going to journal, meditate, and relax. This helped me to get up in the morning and face the early dark morning head on. Of course, in my journal I mentioned how proud I am of myself for just getting up and taking things easy on myself before I blogged and worked out.

2) Remember that you have been blessed with another day, another breath even. You woke up physically capable of making today great. Physically your body can take on the challenge of another day. It’s just your brain that needs the convincing. Love the new day you are given. Embrace it and bless this day.

3) You are capable. Know that you have the power to take over the day. We let the day get ahold of us which leads to not doing the things we want to do which is annoying, saddening, and frustrating. Know that you have a choice to wake up in the morning and say “This day is mine” and “it is a new day for me to do something great with it” Saying these things sets your day on a positive note. Tell yourself that “I have power over the day and it doesn’t have the power over me because I will not let it.”

4) You have another opportunity for accomplishing your goals. Today is another opportunity, another stepping stone in order for you to reach closer and closer to your goals. Life is about the journey so build up to your goals one day or one baby step at a time and keep moving forward.

You will get it. You will accomplish your goals. Take baby steps and my first baby step advice is to BELIEVE IN YOURSELF. Please believe in your abilities to get tasks done. You’ve been getting things done for years so believe in those abilities. Another day has been given to you so make the most out of that day. Avoid burning out and just get things done to the best of your abilities and don’t forget to care for yourself (aka relax every once in a while). It’s just your mind that’s limiting you. You are far more than capable of accomplishing your goals, you just need to get out of that foggy mindset of cursing another day. Stay positive, believe in yourself, and keep moving forward. I believe that you can do it know it’s time to believe in yourself to do the same thing.
